Sziget Festival has locked in a huge second wave of artists for 2026, confirming 42 new additions to its already stacked Budapest lineup. Bring Me The Horizon lead the fresh announcement alongside Wolf Alice and Zara Larsson, strengthening the festival’s reputation for genre-spanning programming across rock, pop, electronic and alternative. The news further cements Sziget as one of Europe’s most diverse major festivals heading into next summer.

The five-day event returns to Óbuda Island in Budapest from 11th - 15th August, 2026, transforming the famed Island of Freedom into a global music hub once again. These latest names join previously announced headliners Twenty One Pilots, Florence + The Machine, Lewis Capaldi and Sombr, with the full bill now stretching deep across international scenes and sounds.

Among the newly revealed acts are Parcels, Loyle Carner, Nia Archives, Sub Focus, Richie Hawtin, Vintage Culture, Boys Noize and Chet Faker, alongside heavy hitters from alternative and electronic worlds including Health, Perturbator, Sara Landry, Trym and WhoMadeWho performing a DJ set. Wolf Alice will bring their acclaimed new era to Budapest, while Bring Me The Horizon arrive fresh off major global touring momentum.

With 42 artists added in this phase alone, Sziget 2026 continues to build toward one of its most ambitious editions yet. Full five-day passes are currently available from €309, with three-day passes also on sale. Hungary’s Sziget Festival has announced the first wave of artists for its 2026 edition, returning to Budapest’s Óbuda Island from 11th to 15th August. With a reputation for delivering genre-diverse, global lineups in a truly unique setting, Sziget continues to assert itself as one of Europe’s premier summer music and cultural events.

Leading the 2026 lineup are UK icons Florence + the Machine, chart-topping singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, genre-defying rock outfit Twenty One Pilots, and rising US artist Sombr. The announcement also features dance legends Underworld, viral rapper bbno$, Scottish rock favourites Biffy Clyro, and exciting punk newcomers Lambrini Girls.

A strong Australian contingent also appears in the first drop, with Tash Sultana, Dom Dolla, and Kim Dracula each bringing their signature live energy to the Island of Freedom. The global flavour continues with Ashnikko, Joris Voorn, Charlotte Cardin, Indira Paganotto, and genre-pushing acts like Baby Lasagna, Pan-Pot, Ski Aggu, and Zimmer90 adding to the festival’s boundary-pushing aesthetic.

The decision from private equity firm KKR—owners of Superstruct Holding—comes amid Hungary’s volatile political and economic climate, leading to the termination of Sziget’s land-use agreement with the city. Despite ongoing support from Budapest authorities, a new investor is urgently needed to save one of Europe’s most beloved festivals.

Financial losses totalling over HUF 7.7 billion since 2023 have fuelled investor exit fears, even as US-Hungarian relations have shown signs of improvement. Adding to the challenges are longstanding tensions between Sziget and Hungary’s Orbán government, stemming from the festival’s inclusive values and pro-LGBTQ+ stance.
